Eh? eh? See what I did there?

Showing off his true colours.
Saving the most interesting for last and a Friday. Here’s the results from our trip to the B.C. Wildlife Park located in Kamloops, BC.

One of the young Grizzly Cubs.
It wasn’t the best lighting conditions (not to mention shooting through fence and mesh) when we were at the Park but I was able to grab these few frames. I’m always up for a challenge though!

Taking a seat for a look around.
Last time I was at the Park they had a different pair of Grizzlies. That pair unfortunately passed away and have been replaced with this new couple of young ones.

Pretty happy there's a fence between us!
One of my favourite sections of the Park is the Aviary. The Golden Eagle wasn’t cooperating with my desires to get a better shot of it than my last visit. Thankfully the other Raptors were in a better mood!

Looking clean enough to be on an American coin!

One of the other "Rescue Eagles".
It’s a nice change from things with metal wings!

The ever stoic Owls were out.

Basking in the sunlight.
The size of the talons on the Owls makes one pretty happy that you’re not a Mouse in their sights! Their almost lack of blinking adds a bit of creepy factor to them as well some might say.

Pair of Hooded Owls.
One of the the Great Horned Owls was feeling spunky and was having a time flying across its enclosure. With the paltry 3fps of the Canon 1Ds at my disposal, I wasn’t expecting to catch him in a decent pose.

BLAST OFF!!!
Oh how happy I am with that one! Timing is everything in Photography… whether it be waiting for that precise moment when the Sunset has the right colours or the Quarterback to throw the game winning toss.

Who doesn't love watching Pigs?
Finally there’s the things with four legs. My young Son was rather amused with the pigs and watching the large Elk. I was unable to get anything I’d consider a keeper of much else.

The Elk Siesta Hour.
At last was the wily Canadian Lynx. It was tough with only 200mm as my longest lens to get anything decent as this one spent most of its time pacing the rear of its enclosure.

Apparently I was spotted!
Overall it was a decent afternoon with a few nice shots so one can’t complain too loudly considering how drab B.C. can be in the Spring.
I’ve got a possible projects in the oven that should be rather interesting so stay tuned here!
