The New Empress in YQY
I dropped by the Sydney Airport today and managed to grab a couple shots of the new Boeing 737-300 from Canadian North at the gate.
As going out shooting wasn’t my sole purpose there, I only had my little Olympus XZ-1 in my pocket. For a small sensor compact camera, it’s been holding its own with regards to image quality.
This particular aircraft joined the Canadian North fleet in September of 2010. It being unique as it’s a 300-Series of the Boeing 737 but equipped with the winglets commonly seen on the 600, 700, 800 and 900 series.
5T1529 is an Oil Field Charter destined for the Oil Fields of Alberta.
It’s good to see that it’s not always the same old aircraft coming into YQY! Hopefully there’ll be some interesting transients from time-to-time for me to capture.
