Foggy Evening at Port Morien

This evening after running errands in Town, I noticed that the breeze coming from the northwest was holding the fog on the shore near home.

So I went for a run down to Port Morien as it’s just upwind from my place and I knew the fog would be right up to the shore there. (Ten years of Meterology is good for something!)

It’s nice going for a walk around with the camera in the quiet. Especially in the fog! Almost reminds me of being back on Northern Vancouver Island again.

The fishing vessels are a bit different than back home though. A lot more colourful and smaller than the Seiners and Trollers I’m used to seeing.

After checking out the docks I wandered back to the car and found a couple other shots that caught my attention. The fog presents some interesting lighting if you’re patient enough to wait for the right moment.

All this Landscape shooting I’ve been doing recently is really making me crave a Canon 17-40mm f/4L for something nice and wide.

That’s it for now! I guess I should probably go camp out at the end of Runway 07/25 at the Sydney Airport for some aircraft shots eh? Been awhile since we’ve seen some aircraft photos on here.
