Uisge Ban Falls
As a part of the our Second Anniversary, the Misses and I went for a hike to Uisge Ban Falls just outside Baddeck, NS.
This fellow welcomed us to the Trail.
The trail is fairly easy with two options. One to go up to Uisge Ban and one that goes for a loop around the river downstream.

I’m rather fortunate that Misses is patient with my random stopping to take photos when we’re out and about. With the Sun not exactly in the best position, these shots required care in framing to avoid too much blown out highlights.
There’s something calming about flowing water.
If you decide to do this hike, you’ll be told that the bridge to the falls is unsafe. Well, that may be true but you can go down the embankment next to it and hop across the stream almost as easy as taking the bridge. So fear not!
Even the smallest brook looks to be a torrent!
The falls themselves are in two parts. An Upper Falls and Lower Falls… the Upper Falls look to be inaccessible. There may be some way to get up there but nothing really obvious that I saw while there.
Lower Uisge Ban Falls.
I highly recommend this hike as it’s easy enough for the Family or the Elderly and it’s a great spot to have lunch by the plunge pool of falls. Next up on my hit-list of locations to shoot I think will be Egypt Falls.
Myself looking for a way to the Upper Falls.
