Other than the standard Family photography during the Holiday Season, I did do a little bit out and around Glace Bay.
When you get days like this during the Winter, you have to take full advantage of them! It also turned out that HMCS Athabaskan was being towed past the area too so that was an added bonus.
To get a better view of Athabaskan I had to head out to Table Head near the Marconi Heritage Site. It was there that I saw the tow line go slack and watch the Tugs jockey it into a stable position.
The icy winds kept the Destroyer bobbing around nicely in the seas due to it being much lighter without its armament and electronics suite onboard. It must have been quite the chore for the Tugs to keep her steady.
Stay tuned as I have a couple other sessions coming up!
